just a big well done to livingstone afc and sporting sittingbourne for a great game sunday. two teams who just wanted a game of football, and just got up and got on with it, it was a pleasure from the referee. well done

After Reading the press article was anyone shocked by SBC again? I recently hire a pitch out at milton-rec and it was in disgusting state no one had even put a broom round in the last 6-months and the last time the walls saw paint was during the 70s energy crisis, Our local MP might have not left any money in the pot after claiming his exspensives (156167.00) between 2007-2008 has our MP done anything for sport apart from rip off his local brough and even claim for Five pork pies? I thought he would have lots of time to deal with such issues as he dont have to do much travelling as he deams he needs a Second home even thou London is only an hour train ride way - I bet every one getting the bus or the train in the morning from his brough are in complete agreement with him?

On behalf of the League I would like to send our congratulations to everyone connected with Castle Tavern, Park Regis (Kemsley) and White Horse who all join The Beach in the draw for the 3rd Round of the Kent Cup to be played in December with excellent wins today!!

Well done for keeping the SSL Flag flying high!!!

Commiserations to Red Lion who have also done the League proud but unfortunately failed to progress any further today.

We look forward to this weeks draw and hope that our sides do not draw each other !!!

Due to the adverse weather conditions over the last 24/48 hours, can I remind you all that play on Private Pitches that if your game gets called off to let me know asap that includes the teams playing in the Kent Cup.

If you are due to play on a Council Pitch ie Leysdown, Seager Road, Albany and Milton Rec that the Council have left it down to the Referee's discretion, so therefore ONLY the appointed Referee can call the game off due to the pitch condition and again please contact me asap if it gets called off.

Firstly, can I thank everyone that turned up to give their support to our Reps Side last night. We had a crowd attendance of 120 so bearing in mind it being midweek and the weather not great the turn out was superb and I thank you all for supporting this project.

As I have stated on many occasions that if last night was a success we would be doing maybe another 2 games this season to allow others to get their chance to Represent the League and thanks to the genuine support we got from our Clubs and Players last night we will be doing more.

Back to last night I think everyone would agree that the 2-2 draw was just about a fair result with both sides giving there all, so a big thanks to the Players that have given up their time over the last few weeks with getting together for training and on last nights performance. Also a big well done to Simon, Ian and Lee for putting the side together.

To the Officials on the night Kevin Fraser, Al Crinean, Luke Crouch and Michael Butcher a big thank you for giving up your Wednesday evening and did an exceptional job in a fast, physical match. ps Sorry, again Kev about my gaff at the start!!!

Quarter Final Draws

Well done to all the Clubs that have won through to the Quarter Final stage of the Senior Cup today.

The draws for the Quarter Final will made on Tuesday 1st December at 7.15pm in the Conservative Club, Sheerness before the next League Council Meeting. If you wish to attend these draws you are more than welcome.

The draws for the Junior Cup, Junior Charity Cup and Senior Charity Cup Quarter Finals will also be done then.

The Quarter Finals for all these competitions will be played during January 2010.

Well done to those through and good luck over the next couple of weeks to those Clubs playing their next round matches.

Nice to see the Aviator get a mention in the match reports this weekend for a drew against Red Lion Res even if it was due to a slip up for Kings Head, Seen as our first win in league for this season last weekend against Park Tavern didnt get a mention!!!!!!!!! hopefully it may even make the paper ha ha ha ha ha ha ha................................................................................................................................................ OOh and Ryan Hope said to let everyone know his free kick was a 45 yard wonder goal
